
Alberta/Haskayne Executive MBA one of the top 50 programs in the world
( Alberta ) – For the third consecutive year, the Financial Times ( London , UK ) has ranked the Alberta/Haskayne Executive MBA (EMBA) program among the top programs in the world. The program was one of only three Canadian programs to rank in the top 50. Alberta/Haskayne finished first among Canadian business schools and seventh worldwide in the category that measures graduates’ career progress since taking the program. The program also ranked first in Canada and ninth worldwide in the category that measures t he extent to which alumni fulfilled their most important goals or reasons for doing an EMBA.
The Alberta/Haskayne EMBA, jointly offered by the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta , achieved an overall ranking of 46 on the list of the top 85 programs, improving significantly on the 65 place ranking the program achieved in 2005.
“This international recognition is a clear demonstration of the outstanding quality of the Alberta/Haskayne EMBA program,” says Dr. Vernon Jones, interim dean of the Haskayne School of Business. “The extent to which our graduates are able to meet their goals is a reflection of the calibre of our program and the practical learning experience we provide.”
Paul Myers credits the program with giving him the skills he needed for his role as CEO of Esprit Energy Trust. “I considered many options prior to enrolling in the Alberta/Haskayne Executive MBA program.
