Our reference librarian saves you time by helping you find sources of information quickly and efficiently. To make sure you master the material, we offer individual or group tutorial sessions. We provide the level of support you need to be successful in the program.

Research Librarian
Our program reference librarian helps you plan and execute search strategies. You will have 24-hour access to information on search strategies, requesting articles and books, document delivery, accessing databases and instruction guides, citing sources and other topics related to research and library services via the library web site. Special research workshops are held each weekend to update you on the latest research techniques and resource materials.

Technology Support

Your classroom is designed with a network infrastructure to support in-class use of computer technology. You will use a variety of computer software packages that support word processing, accounting, spreadsheets, statistical analysis and presentations. Electronic mail, the internet and group-ware applications facilitate communication among you, your classmates and your professors. Information technology support staff provide a variety of installation and training services to support the software programs used in the program. Students must have access to a laptop computer throughout the program.

Tutorial Support


Tutorial support is available, on an individual or group basis, for all courses in the curriculum. The tutorials are designed to accommodate student schedules and areas of interest. Typical tutorials include Accounting, Statistics and Finance.

Career Management

The Management Career Centre (University of Calgary) and the Office of Placement Services (University of Alberta) will help you develop your strategy for career advancement. Both offices offer a variety of services including industry sector analysis, current compensation studies and resume writing workshops. Your resume can also be included in resume books which are distributed to companies and search consultants across the country.
